Waiting for....

DEADLY LITTLE VOICES: A TOUCH NOVEL by Laurie Faria Stolarz
*Release date December 6th

High school junior Camelia thought her powers of psychometry only gave her the ability to sense the future through touch. But now she’s started to hear voices. Mean voices. Berating her, telling her how ugly she is, and that she’d be better off dead. It’s a troubling development that has Camelia terrified for her mental stability, especially since her deranged aunt with a suicidal history has just moved into the family house. More torturing, ex-boyfriend Ben, who has similar psychometric abilities, has been spending more time with their classmate Alejandra.

With the line between right and wrong fraying, Camelia turns to pottery to get a grasp on her emotions. She begins sculpting a beautiful figure skater, only to receive frightening premonitions that someone’s in danger. But who is the victim? And how can Camelia help them when she is on the brink of losing her own sanity?

I'm so excited for this book to come out.  I picked up the first one about a year ago and I've been in love with the series ever since.  After the way the last book ended I really want to read this one. I love the cover of this book the colors and the way shes standing there with the flowers and the field of flowers  behind her its just beautiful.  The title already tells us the point of the book Camelia is hearing voices and there telling her horrible things. I'm so excited for this book to come out and I'm sure it will be as good as the other three.

Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Ethan Wate is haunted by dreams of a girl he’s never met. When Lena Duchannes moves into his small southern town of Gatlin County, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her. And he is determined to uncover the strange connection between them, even if it means uncovering the one secret that could change everything.

I remember when I first picked up this book a year ago in my schools library.  It was maybe our third week back from summer break and I was looking at the new books the school had gotten.  I came across Beautiful Creatures and it was huge this book is 500 plus pages and I looked through it, the cover is what really caught my attention I loved the beautiful writing and the background, the main reason I picked it up and don't judge me on this was because I like the name Ethan. I was glad I picked up this book it is one of the best books I have ever read.

The book is told from the point of view of Ethan Wate. Ethan has been stuck in the small town of Gaitlin all his life and can't wait to leave he is actually counting down the days tell he leaves.  Ethan's Mom has died and he lives with his house keeper Amma and his shut in Dad.  Ethan is a popular guy at Jackson High he is a sophmore,  he plays basketball and is handsome, tall and is 16.  He is also smart and loves to read, he has classic novels hidden under the bed in his room.  Ethan thinks nothing ever changes in Gaitlin until they return to school after summer break and he finds out they have a new girl Lena Duchannes.  Lena is the niece of the towns "Boo Radley" Macon Ravenwood who lives in an old mansion outside of Gatilin.  Everyone is quick to deem Lena a freak but Ethan doesn't he knows there is something different and special about her.  Lena is smart she is in mostly advance classes she has long black hair and green eyes she also wears a necklace full of random pieces of "junk" she drives a hearse and is only 15.  What Ethan doesn't know is when he meets and starts to get close to Lena that everything he's ever known about Gaitlin and himself will change forever. Her family is haunted by a curse that will choose if they become Light or Dark on their 16th birthday.

I loved this book to pieces i actually finished it in one night I could not put it down.  The beginning of the book is a tad slow but they have to set the scene of Gaitlin and what life is like.  Ethan and Lena are an adorable couple the relationship between them is just wow the way the authors wrote about it, about all the obstacles that they have to over come for there relationship to work, how strong their love for each other is and how love can get you through anything no matter what anyone (or curse) says.  The setting is just amazing as well a few times I felt like I was in Gaitlin with Ethan and Lena standing in the muggy Southern air trying to break the curse that has haunted Lena's family forever and feeling everything the characters felt.

Beautiful Creatures is a great read and already has the next two books in the series out. Id suggested this book to anyone of loves a good romance book mixed with a dark paranormal plot.
